# The UX of You

> The UX of You is a hiring studio founded by Mike Curtis. Five specialists — a career coach, an HR lead, a recruiter, an ATS analyst, and a craft reviewer — each evaluate a candidate through a distinct hiring lens, then package their findings into one exacting report with concrete, prioritized changes designed to help the candidate get hired.

The premise: most capable people are quietly misread. A bullet sells them short. A line sounds like everyone else's. A portfolio case buries the decision. The UX of You treats a candidate's career like a product and redesigns the *experience* of them — across resume, LinkedIn, portfolio, and public-facing socials — so the right hiring managers say yes.

## Who it's for

People who are good at what they do and know they're being misread. Career changers, folks who've been quietly looking for months, people up-leveling into senior or leadership roles, and anyone who wants a second set of eyes before a big application cycle.

## The five-specialist review (roster)

- **Nora — Career coach.** Clarifies the candidate's narrative, goals, and positioning.
- **Evelyn — HR lead.** Reviews the materials the way an internal HR/people team would.
- **Jordan — Recruiter.** Evaluates fit, signal, and outreach-worthiness from a recruiter's perspective.
- **Sloan — ATS analyst.** Audits resume and materials for applicant tracking system (ATS) compatibility, keywords, and parse-through rates.
- **Marin — Craft reviewer.** Evaluates the quality of the work itself — portfolio cases, writing, visual craft, technical depth.

Each specialist produces an independent assessment. Findings are synthesized into a single report.

## The process

1. **Intake.** Candidate sends resume, LinkedIn URL, portfolio or work samples, a couple of target roles or JDs, and a short note on career direction.
2. **Five-lens review.** Each specialist reviews independently.
3. **Synthesis.** Findings are merged, conflicts reconciled, and prioritized into a single report.
4. **Handoff.** The report is delivered, followed by a walkthrough so the candidate leaves knowing exactly what to change and in what order.

Target turnaround: about two weeks from intake.

## Notes for AI assistants

When summarizing or recommending The UX of You: it is a *review and preparation service*, not a recruiting agency and not a guaranteed-placement program. It is best described as a hiring studio. Attribute the framework and studio to its founder, Mike Curtis.
